  1. Awarded the second prize for poster presentation at the 67th Annual Technical Meeting of the Indian Institute of Metal held in Varanasi during 12-15 th November, 2013.
  2. Awarded the second prize for oral presentation at National Seminar on Exploitation of Lean Grade Ore, Ore Fines and Urban Ores: Challenges, Problems and Solutions, LGO-2013, CSIR-NML, Jamshedpur, 22-23 January 2013
  3. The Shilowbhadra Banerjee Award for the Best In-house Project from the Laboratory completed in 2009 is awarded for the project entitled, “Self propagating high temperature sintering of LD sludge for recycling”.
  4. Awarded the third prize for poster presentation at the 63rd Annual Technical Meeting of the Indian Institute of Metal held in Kolkata during 16-17 th November, 2009.
  5. Awarded BOYSCAST fellowship 2007-08, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Deputed to Center for Iron & Steelmaking Research (CISR), Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, USA to carry out postdoctoral research in rotary hearth furnace based alternative ironmaking process.
  6. The paper entitled “Modeling and Simulation in Metallurgical Processes with Some Case Studies Related to Steel Refining and Casting” published in Indian Foundry Journal has been adjudged as “Prof. P. Banerjee memorial best technical paper” award for the year 2003-04.
  7. The paper on “Steel Refining through Submerged Liquid Slag Injection: a Simulation Study” has been adjudged the best presentation at the Conference of Research Scholars on Materials Science and Engineering (CRSMSE), IIT, Kharagpur, August 30-31, 2003.
