Debanik worked on CFD-based simulations of high-temperature reformers and combustion chambers. His interest lies in the optimization of reactor and combustion units by thermal and hydrodynamic analysis. He published a journal paper in "Chemical Engineering Research and Design" and a few conference papers so far. He got a PhD offer from Washington State University (USA).

After completeing 3rd semester he got a job offer from Saint Gobain along with an final semester internship.

After completing Ph.D in 2022, Shilpi joined Tridiagonal Solution Pvt. Ltd., Pune (India) as Senior Project Engineer. Shilpi has completed B.Tech and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Calcutta University and completed PhD from the Department of Chemical Engineering of NIT Durgapur. Shilpi worked in the area of CFD and Molecular Dynamics based simulations. She investigated the dynamics of nanodroplet as well as multiphase flow inside microchannels. She published two papers in Chemical Engineering Science journal which details the deformation behavior of ionic nanodroplet in presene of external electric field (Chatterjee et. al., Chemical Engineering Science 229 (2021) 116143, and 247(2022), 117083).
