Research Interest

Coordination Chemistry

Synthesis and characterisation of complexees of transition metals. The main object to understand the stucture and bonding of the complexes and cxplore their their spectroscopic properties and electrochemical behavoiur. Different types of quantum mechanical calculations are also a part of research.

Projects
Title Investigator Co-investigator Sponsered Agency Duration Status

DST SERB Investigation of the modulation of transcriptiontional regulation of CAM7 by COP1 and Ca/ Mg during Arabidopsis seedling devepolment jointly with Professor Sudip Chattopadhyay, Department of Biotechnology  from september 2016

Teachings

'A teacher can never truely teach unless he is still learning himself. A lamp can never light another lamp unles it continues to burn its own flame. The teacher who has come to the end of his subject, who has no living traffic with his knowedge but  merely repeats his lesson to his students, can only load their minds, he cannot quicken them.'    -  Rabindranath Tagore

To impart knowledge to the students in deep and simple way is an art of a teacher. It helps students to love and explore the subject with original thinkng which in turn makes them passonate in the filed. To me, teaching  is challenging and courageous as it needs engagement continuously in the path of learning the subject through research. The source of knowledge may be book, journal and lecture (video) and doing experiments in laboratory which are very much available in todays world. To be a successful teacher, eager to learn is vital importance which help to understand the subject in different perspective with time.
