Research Interest

1. Pt(II) and Pd(II based anticancer drug design and drug development.

2. Synthesis of Pt(II) and Pd(II) complexes, analogous to platinum based anticancer drugs with comparable or better cytotoxic property on Cancer cell lines; DNA/protein binding, In vitro cytotoxic study on cancer cell lines as well as normal cell.

3. Special emphasis on kinetics and mechanism of biologically important Inorganic reactions.

4. Theoretical investigations (DFT) such as geometry optimisation, TD-DFT, reactivity parameters, IRC, NBO etc.
