  1. Obtained Ph.D. Degree from Jadavpur University in December 2011.

           Ph.D. Thesis Topic: - Modern Soft Computing Tools Applied to Optimal Power Flow and Economic Dispatch.

  1. Passed M.E. Final Examination (Electrical Power System) with 9.23 CGPA from Jadavpur University after qualifying GATE-2006 (All India Rank 558).

M.E Project: - Soft Computing Techniques and their application in Economic Load Dispatch and Economic Emission Dispatch.

  1. Passed BE in Electrical Engineering with Distinction from Regional Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur (Declared as NIT by Govt. of India) under Ranchi University in 2000. Ranked Overall 2nd in Electrical Engineering in the University (78.25%).
  1. Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) in 1st Division (STAR) from Durgapur Project Boy’s High School under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in 1996 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (76.4%).
  1. Passed Madhyamik (10th) in 1st Division (STAR) from Durgapur Project Boy’s High School under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in 1994 (78.55%).
Work Experiences

ASSIGNMENT (DECEMBER 2012-DECEMBER 2018)

Worked as Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Department, in National Institute of Technology, Agartala.

ASSIGNMENT (MAY 2011 – NOVEMBER 2012)

Worked as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Department, in Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, an AICTE approved Engineering College under the WBUT. Teaching “Power System Protection” in M.Tech; Circuit Theory & Networks, Power System I & II in B. Tech.

ASSIGNMENT (DEC. 2009 – APRIL 2011)

Worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Electrical Engineering Department in Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India.

ASSIGNMENT (AUGUST 2008 – DEC. 2009)

Worked as a Senior lecturer of Electrical Engineering Department, in Dr. B.C.Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, an AICTE approved Engineering College under the WBUT. Taught “Power System Protection in M.Tech”, Circuit Theory & Networks, Power System III.

Also taught “Advanced Topic in Power System”, as a visiting faculty at Jadavpur University during January to May 2009.

ASSIGNMENT (SEPTEMBER 2005 – JUNE 2006)

Around 11 months teaching experience as a lecturer of A.E.I.E. department in Bankura Unnyani Institute of Engineering, an AICTE approved Engineering College under WBUT.

ASSIGNMENT ( NOVEMBER 2004 – AUGUST 2005 )

Around one year Post Qualification Professional Experience in Power Plant ( 2 x        70, 2 x 25 MW Captive Power Plant ) Operation, Maintenance, in a leading Steel Manufacturing Organization.

Worked as Power Plant Engineer in Electrical Operation & Maintenance Dept. in Jindal Steel & Power Limited  an  ISO 9001:2000  &  ISO 14001:1996  certified  Company  having  interest  in   Manufacturing  &  Exports  of  Steel  all  over  the  world and an annual turnover of 1550  crores.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Commissioning and Maintenance of different LT & HT Drives (415 Volts to 6.6 KV ).
  2. Operation of ‘Generator Control Desk Panel’.
  3. Relay settings of different Siemens Make Relays ( 7 SJ 62 , 7 RW 600) and ABB Make Relays ( SPAJ, SPAM, SPAU ).
  4. Maintenance of ABB Make LT Switchgear, Siemens Make HT Switchgear (up to 11 KV) and Alstom make (220 KV) Switchyard.
  5. Maintenance of 220 Volts DC Motor Starter (L&T make).
  6. Commissioning and Maintenance of Motorized Valves and Dampers (located at Boiler & Turbine areas).
  7. Operation of WHRB Boilers (4 Boilers of Capacity 57 TPH).

ASSIGNMENT ( AUGUST 2000 – OCTOBER 2004 )

Over 4 years Post Qualification Professional Experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Calibration, and Inspection Management in a leading Energy Meter manufacturing MNC.

Worked as Assistant Manager - Planning in Planning Dept. in SIEMENS METERING Ltd, an ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 14001:1996 certified Company having interest in Manufacturing & Exports of Electro- Mechanical Energy Meters with 12 branches all over the world and an annual turnover of 200 crores.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

       1.  Strategic planning to meet Production Target for a Particular Business year.

  1. Co-ordination with Purchase Dept. to ensure smooth supply of Bought out Components & Raw Materials required for Production.
  2. Co-ordination with Component Manufacturing Depts. to ensure smooth supply of In-house Components required for Production.

      4.   Looked after all Subcontract related jobs.

      5.   Inventory Control and Production Planning.

      6.   Implementation of ERP System in Manufacturing Division.

      7. Worked as an Internal Auditor for ISO14001 Standard, Environmental Management System.

      8. Worked as an Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2000 Standard, Quality Management System.

      9.   Involved in preparing Manufacturing Strategy of the Company.

1. Act as PI on RIG project, "Smart EV-charging Solution to improve grid Resiliency" has been completed between 2019-21, worth rupees 4.84 Lakh, sponsored by NIT Durgpaur. (Completed)

2. As a Co PI on the project "Development of Online Partial Discharge Monitoring Solutions for High Voltage Electrical Apparatus", of worth rupees 2.19 Crore, sponsored by NHPC Limited, under the duration 30.03.2022-29.03.2024 (tentative). (In progress)
